Session Description:

In 2020, a Deloitte survey and roundtable with clinical leaders on the implications of virtual health adoption on the practice of medicine, consumer expectations, and care delivery models supported the notion that the Future of Health had been accelerated about 5 years closer than originally predicted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These implications have been particularly evident regarding efforts to manage COVID-19 patients, with other high-touch, chronic disease areas quickly gaining traction. However, if we look beyond care management, virtual health has the potential to play a central role in supporting elder populations in aging safely, independently, and comfortably from their own home.
